Analysing Factors Influencing Career Prospects Among Underprivileged Students - A Case Study

Poverty and its reduction have been on the agenda of many developing countries now more than ever education is seen as a catalyst upward social mobility. Thus understanding circumstances views underprivileged students their families very advantageous in policy decisions well local support. The aim this study was to gauge perceptions youth, residing low-income neighbourhood Bhilai, regarding career choices educational opportunities. Surveys were carried out over 2 weeks interviews with 23 respondents conducted. results analysed using quantitative contemporary ethnographic approach.
 findings show that most important factor influencing among youth Parental Support. Findings also perception ‘stability’ jobs from generation different, where parents preferred government stable, whereas believed private sector offered stability.
